We all have a story. There is the one we have lived and the one that is waiting to be written. Everyday, we are writing one in our thoughts, words and actions. If we choose to keep the pain of the loss we have experienced, we become a victim of all that has happened to us. Our Lord is asking us to let it go and trust Him. It is a choice.

Everyone has loss in their lives. For some it may be loss of a friend, health, marriage, home, financial security, reputation, status, pet or career. For others, it is the death of a loved one. Dreams are shattered. In letting go of the pain of loss, they choose to let go of the pain in their past. It is only then they can begin writing their new story.

In the midst of sadness and devastation, Elizabeth gathered together the fragments of her pain and developed a life-changing philosophy: “In going through the times of darkness, we learn the lesson of valuing the true joy in the good times.” Rather than remain bitter and unforgiving, she has allowed God to transform her pain to help others. She understands the lessons learned during the most difficult times of our life can become a gift to someone else. Life has taught her that it is through healing we find the freedom to live in the present. Letting go is living our lives fully and being open to those times that make us truly feel alive. We make the choice to surrender and trust, God, our dear heavenly Father.
